MADE APPT. LAST WEEK TO BRING TRUCK IN FOR RECALL ON TRANS. LINE AND O-RINGS ON COMP. PLUG..... DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT THE TRUCK FROM... ... IN ADDITION DECIDED TO HAVE CAB LIGHTS INSTALLED... . "NO PROBLEM,SIR,BRING HER UP AND WE'LL KNOCK IT RIGHT OUT"..... SHOWED UP THIS MORNING AT 8:00 A. M. AND WHEN GETTING IN THE COURTESY :--) NEON FOR A RIDE TO THE OFFICE, THE DRIVER BARKED "I AM NOT DRIVING YOU WAY DOWN THERE"... APPROX. 30 MILES... . SERVICE MANAGER APOLOGIZED THAT HE DID NOT KNOW HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CARRY ME "ALL THE WAY DOWN THERE"..... "NO PROBLEM,SIR,WE'LL PUT YOU IN A LOANER"... OK..... 45 MINUTES LATER HE RETURNS TO ASK ME IF I COULD PLEASE WAIT FOR MY TRUCK AS THEY ALREADY WORKING ON THE RECALLS WITH AN ANTICIPATED 1 HR REPAIR TIME AND 1. 5 INSTALLATION TIME FOR THE CAB LIGHTS. . HAVE ME OUT OF THERE IN 2HRS TOTAL... ... ... WELLLL... OK... ... NO EXAGGERATION... . 5 HRS TOTAL..... THEY FINISHED MY TRUCK..... HERE IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD... ... BILL SHOWS 116. 00 FOR PARTS (CAB LIGHTS)..... WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE 89. 00 MSRP IN ACC. CATALOG... ... . "OOPS... ... AAHHH... . DID I GET THAT WRONG? I'M SORRY,SIR,LET ME CORRECT THAT. . "... . WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE LABOR CHARGED I WAS QUICKLY INFORMED THAT THE 1. 5 HRS RELATED TO WARRANTY WORK AND DID NOT APPLY TO THIS... ... "SORRY ABOUT YOUR BAD LUCK,SIR"... THEY MUST THINK I'M STUPID ..... HOW MUCH *****ING COULD I HAVE DONE WHEN THEY WERE DRILLING HOLES IN MY TRUCK!... ... 236. 00 TO GET THE CAB LIGHTS I WAS QUOTED "ABOUT 150. 00"ON..... AND A WHOLE DAY OF WORK LOST... ... . BOSS WILL BE ****** ..... OH YEAH THATS ME... ... AND I AM ******. :mad: ... ... HATE TO SEE WHAT FOUR STAR IS LIKE:--)
 
I think that the D/C rating is backwards. 5 being the worst and 1 being good. My selling dealer didn't even know about the recall and didn't care. They put me on a list a month from now. Also said I have to leave the truck for a day or two. Rental car??? yeah, right. I think I will wait until I toast the transmission and let them replace it all. At that time, my D/C 100,000 zero deduct warranty will pay it all inc the rental car.

Well I must be lucky. I have had good luck with my dealer here in s. michigan. CR motors here in Hudson Michigan has been great to deal with. This is kind of a small cow town,no big city Hype. Took my truck in last week for the recall C-44 I was back out in 30 min. Sorry to here about your bad service. Feel kind of lucky living in a rural area. Word of mouth down here goes a long way. coobie:)
 
i wouldnt complain i did the same as you and the dealer had my truck for 5 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cab light cost was 400 DOLLARS!!!!

:eek: ..... yeeeooowwwwww!!! 5 days... did you say anything to the dealer?... . if so what was the response?... ..... after hearing XcumminsX... . :rolleyes: maybe I got a deal..... the money wasn't a lot,but the "service"they were trying to "give"me on the PARTS ..... well lets just say I didn't even try to kiss me first! :mad: ... . when I bought the truck there was all this talk of how they wanted to be the ones to service my new truck... ... now I know why... ..... guess I'll have to try some more local dealers... ... . anyone seeing this from VA. have "good"service from a dealer near Hampton Va. ?
