I just installed new window strips from the gen2(Velvet Lined) Ram part number 55134598 on to my doors with some minor modification and my windows now roll up without that dreaded draging of grit sound. And no more tint scratcing. And I will forward my purchase price to my dealer for reimbursement under my warranty since they could not find a fix for my problem. ;)

Had my truck at the dealer on Friday. They said some '03's did not get the strip with felt. They are aware of this and are replacing them.

I have the tint scratching problem BADLY. There's another friend of mine with a 1500, his is scratching just like mine. Our dealer says we are nuts, and there is no such thing as the felt strip on an '03 or an '04... . ??

Anybody have ANY luck getting the proper part number for the strips?

Thanks!

I've got the "felt strip" on my 03 but it is still scratching the I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER out of the tint. What is really causing this problem and is there a true fix?

I have on 03' built in May... I don't think that mine has the felt on the rubber strip and I haven't had any problems with the tint scratching. Maybe it is something else that is scartching the tint???

Parts book shows three weatherstrips. Mine are not bad (no aftermarket tint), so I never paid any attention to the weatherstrips.
