The lenses over my headlights turned yellow and frosty several years ago.

Yesterday at AutoZone I bought a Permatex headlight lense restoration kit for $15. Works. Lenses aren't as crystal clear as the turn signal covers, but they are clear. Worth the money, there's enough to do several headlights, and it takes less than an hour to do a pair of them. It's an abrasive polish, not like a liquid wax or something, so it should last for a while.

Dealer says About $150 each for new ones.

the same stuff you polish your car with works too, mild compound and a rotary buffer with a wool pad, i have done the plastic lens on my shop light a few times, wood dash/console trim for various cars and the plastic lens on my watch, i didn't try a random orbit buffer as i don't have one (i know how to not grind the paint off the car with a rotary :-laf ) but it will probably work too just slower

Yeah, I just used the Eastwood kit to do mine. Got most of the damaged plastic off the lenses, as well as made them look a heckuva lot better. Nice to be able to see better at night now, too.

Wet sanding them by hand works good too. Starting with 360, moving up to 600 and then finish with 1500.

Been doing it for years.
