Im getting ready to start doing some work on my '93. I plan on redoing the front and rear breaks, tie rod ends, ect. and maybe a 4'' lift when its all said and done. i also have some dents to get fixed, and maybe get it a new paint job.

I just had a few questions. I need to get rid of the old nasty carpet in there, i was wanting to go with a vinyl floor, or maybe rhino lining. The only thing i could think with the rhino lining, i would think it would be alot louder in the cab without anything to deaden the sound. Have any of yall ever tried this?

Also, i am missing a few trim pieces. Does anyone know where these can be found besides a wrecking yard?

I also want to upgrade the stock stereo speakers. what size are the stockers, 6x9?

It will be louder with Rhino. You can get rubber mats with jute backing, but that still can't be hosed out unless you remove the mat, which is easy.

I went with a vinyl floor from ACC I think. It's very heavy and fit pretty good. There is some trimming and cutting for 4x shifter but it went pretty good. A scrub brush and soapy water and it cleans right up.

I have a rubber mat from ACC, too (I think). The carpet was just nasty, plus I just dont think carpet and pickup trucks mix, so my girlfriend got me a vinyl floor kit for Christmas. I would recommend some dynamat or something similar under the vinyl floor, as it is louder than the jute backing. But the plus of the non-jute sound deadener is that you dont have to remove it to spray it out, nor have to worry about water trapping it and making rust.

Yup. Then I took some underlayment that is used under laminate flooring and glued it down with some 3M spray adhesive, then installed the rubber floor. The jute backing on the carpet was junk and half rotten anyway. I plan to get some sound proofer some day (dynamat type, just not the name brand stuff- kinda like Banks- too pricey and other options are just as good for 1/2 price) to add to what I already have.

As for your speaker Q, You can fit four six x 9's in there. Two in the doors and two in the rear corners. There are brackets already there. At least there was on my reg cab. You may have to drill some new screw holes but they fit.

put some of the sound deadener sheet behind the speakers in the door and it really cleans up the sound.

I did more than I needed to covering the whole cab. SSA got my vote as my preferred dynamat type material and I will use it on all my resto projects from now on!
