How to fix/minimize them?

Picked up quite a few scratches on fire trails/etc out deer hunting (good thing I didn't get a duallie this time around!).

My dealer's paint shop recommended "Automagic B2 Clear Coat Wax" to clean up scratches that didn't break the clear coat; and that stuff is awesome. He demonstrated it and made the scratches dissappear.

But for the tiny scratches that did make it to paint... ideas?

Truck's three months old; just made first payment; looking for advise on fixing scratches! :(

Oh well; no point in having it if you're afraid to use it. :D

I know exactly what you mean. e to doing the bush thing etc. I gave up doing it my self, Found a great detail place, they do a clay cut/wax/polish. Cost me about $150 cdn. I do it once a year and I handle the regular quick wax/ wash. Every time I pick up my truck when it's been done I am just in aw at how deep and rich they get it to look. Like a show room finish. The guys know what they are doing. Clean ups most of the sratches. Money well spent. My . 02 worth.

3M Handglaze found at most professional body shop supply stores and NAPA works good for me. This works wonders on surface scratches. Pro body shops use it to rub out paint imperfections in clear coat. Plus its not a wax at all, which is why body shops like it... you can paint over the area you rubbed out without further cleaning. I use it to polish paint, clearcoat, plastic lenses, etc. It will not scratch no matter how hard you rub. Just apply your favorite wax afterwards to protect.

I had to use it to get dog claw scratches out off my door when I had a brand new 97 GMC Z-71. Friends dog was happy to see me come over and couldn't wait for me to get out of the truck. I almost cried when I saw his huge paws trying to dig a hole in my door panel. They were pretty good scratches... and it took two tries with 3M handglaze, but it worked.

PS: It was a black clearcoat truck, so if it will work on this, it will work on anything... and I am a perfectionist when it comes to how good my black paint looks.
