Need help on this guys, I installed 4 inch LED (10 light)replacement lights in my flatbed, nice lights look great however now my blinkers flash too fast, thought no problem I will install a heavy duty flasher. Called 2 different Dodge stealers, they only show one P/N 56007348, called the RV places their response was Dodge has an oddball flasher. Called the auto parts places, no luck. This truck has the trailer tow package, has anyone with a 2001 found a heavy duty replacement for the flasher relay???

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Brett

badinfluence ~ Try looking at this addy for LED dummy resistor to use and slow down flasher. I think this will work or you can go someplace else and buy a resistor too. If I am wrong sure somebody else will chime in and correct me.

I think I goofed you said it flashed to fast!!! Adding resistance in parallel will make it flash faster!!! I wonder if you can do the resistor in series? Help somebody else chip in!!!!

Actually, adding resistance in series won't work and adding resistance in parallel will work. The flasher module for our Rams (available from Mopar only) contains integrated circuitry that detects blown lamp filaments and signals this fact with the high flash rate.

THANKS

Thanks guys, I got ahold of watsons and ordered up 2 of the dummy loads, they said that would fix me up. I guess I was thinking bassakwards on this deal. I didnt realize they pulled that little juice to effect the flasher. I did find a flasher with the same 5 plugs as ours, it was an allied signal 190 but it just blew the 20 amp fuse under the hood in the box. It dont work. I guess Dodge has the market cornered on the flasher. Thanks again. I knew someone in TDR land would have the answer.
