Hey folks,

Anyone out there know what the specs on the stock flasher relay is? I need to find a simlar relay with less current draw to slow my flasher relay down. I replaced the tail lights with LED's and of course the current is lower now.

Any help is always appreciated.

I also have the same problem...

I have LED's in my flatbed, and my blinkers flash about a million times per minute. Problem is, our trucks use a flasher that has a circuit built into it to flash fast. I am guessing that some engineer thought this would be great so we'd know if a bulb was burnt out. Any how, Shelby Griggs also have this problem, and is working on a solution as we speak. He thought that a Tridon replacement didn't have the fast-flash circuit in it, but it does so he is trying to modify it. Other than that, nobody makes a replacement flasher for our trucks besides Dodge, and you already have one of those.

If I'm missing anything, hopefully Shelby will jump in here.

yeah i found the thread....

Thanx,

Just ran across the thread... Will try the same thing... . there only like $3. 50 each. . and u need 2... werth trying, I was just afraid it would make the LED's dimmer if I loaded them up with a resistor. I have red led's inside of the already red lens, so its a lil dimmer then the stock bulb. It doesnt dispearse the lite like a normal bulb.

Cole, I put a dummy load on each light, didnt seem to dim them at all and they do slow down the blink rate. one wire hooks to the hot side and the other end to a ground.

Brett,

DO u happen to know the specs of the resitor u put in? ie ohms & wattage.

I know where to order them from, but I would like to go and pick it up locally.

Thanx,

Cole
