i have a question, im getting a stalling or hesitation on take off from a stop.

it seems to stall at about 1000 rpms, i seemed to notice it after i bought fuel.

i buy from the same place all the time. the question is would bad fuel cause this or is something failing. also the general performacnce hasnt been too good.

the fuel filter was changed not long ago and i regularly use power service although not this time

Sounds like a bad tank of fuel. Open the fuel/water seperator and catch it in a coffee can or something similar. Check and see if you get some water and that's usually a telltale sign that it's a bad lot of fuel.

Best thing is to just siphon the fuel and use it to run tractors or off-road equipment if you have any.

Yep, bad fuel, I dealt with a tank like that myself. The manager of the station had to deal with me!!! I agree a siphon job is the best thing to do, I just loaded up on fuel additive and took it easy. After I chewed the manager a new a**, I never once bought fuel at that station again. In this day and age and prices there is NO excuse for a station selling junk fuel.

I recently had my filter clog. It wasn't hesitating so much on take off but at about 1500 rpms it would start bucking and missing. I nursed it home and changed the filter and cleaned and flushed the cannister good.

thanks guys

im going to pull the filter this weekend and check for water and debris. i just changed that filter a month ago too. i bought some power service and the hesitation has stopped and the performance is getting better. darn shame that we pay this much for fuel and get bad stuff. im gonna give the station owner a mindfull . they should give refunds for bad product, i wonder if they can be charged for engine damage if it occurs.

anyway thanks for the input
