Does anyone know where I could get a 16. 5'x8. 5' flatbed for a C&C. I cant seem to find anything longer then 12'.

Thanks,

Mike

If you are looking for an aluminum bed, check out www.ravenssales.com. They custom make every bed to the buyer's specifications. Check the fabrication link for some examples. I am very happy with the bed they made for me.

In May 2003, my 8'x11' bed and bulkhead cost $3000. Extras such as underbed storage boxes, LED lights, extra lights in the bulkhead, work lights, gooseneck trailer hitch, stake pockets, bump rails, and installation brought the total cost to $4800 plus tax.

If you are close to Kenosha WI I know of a guy that way who can build awesome flatbeds and Ive hired him to build several things for me in the past. His business name is J-Flame engineering and his number is 262-620-3072. He's a great guy and his wait period isnt too bad. Hope this helps! He actually is in Bristol right off highway 50.

If I end up getting this truck i'll definatley give j-Flame a call. I do a ton of work off of hwy67 in walworth. Thanks for all the links.

I can only assume that you intend to stretch the chassis (wheelbase) before installing this 16 1/2 ft bed..... There is a federal standard for the distance from the center of the rear axle to the end of the bed based on wheelbase... . it used to be something like 75% of the wheelbase could extend out past the center line of the rear axle... .....

i was wondering about that, i've seen a few 14 footers and they look awkward but i think a 16' would be a pita! heres a pic of my 11" and when i think of another 5' on the back i think it would nearly impossible to negotiate city streets
