A truck that I mentor (a friend of mine) just put one on last year. Mistake #1 we switched over to Evans coolant at the same time...now everything runs hot, controllable but hot. I put Evans in my tow-er, and noticed the temps higher too, so probably nothing wrong with the bypass kit. That's all I know at this point.

Yes, the 1996 Dodge 2500 4x4 extended cab (mfg in Canada) had been modified prior to my purchase in 2011 from a local dealer's used inventory. I was able to track down the previous (original) owner that retired here in AZ. He had a packet of brochures and receipts for most of the aftermarket items he'd had installed in early 2001 and 2002 by a place called The Powershop in Washington state, in order to tow a 5th wheel RV trailer. The paperwork cites the primary power train changes as a KDP tab, full Banks PowerPack system, BD Torqloc torque converter control kit, BD 47RE performance valve body, BD performance torque converter, BD pressure lock control device, BD exhaust brake, 60#valve springs, Amsoil bypass oil system. Then upgraded front brake calipers and kevlar pads.

Since I've owned it the changes have been replacing various wear and tear items on the front end to eliminate death wobble. Also installed a Goerend deep trans pan and ATS GM trans governor. I use it to tow a small 2005 Nomad 5th wheel RV trailer. The primary trail is between Tucson, AZ and Greer, AZ. Several grades on routes 60 and 77 usually traveled, can be a challenge, particularity in the hot weather months.

Excellent. With those mods and what you're doing with the truck, I personally wouldn't waste the money. I put a Keating Machine Block-off on my rear freeze plug when I had the engine out for the swap simply because it was easy.
