I was down at my local hardware store and I noticed they carried Fleetguard coolant at what I thought was a decent price. $9.99 - 11.99 gallon. Can these be used in a 2009 truck? I plan on changing the coolant in the future. I did not see a Chrysler spec on the label.
If I purchased antifreeze from the dealer would they sell me HOAT or the newer OAT antifreeze? This can be very confusing.

- Fleetcool EX
- ES Compleat
- ES Compleat OAT

Actually OAT is the older technology. HOAT came about because of issues with OAT. Dodge dealer will sell you HOAT or you can get Zerex GO-5.

The dealer should sell you coolant by application -what it was built/designed to use not just the latest type.

Thanks Bob4x4 that what I figured.
After some research I think I figured out what I need to know. The third generation truck I own has the HOAT antifreeze. Everything from 2013 and up uses OAT antifreeze. Don't mix them together.

- Fleetguard EX Compleat - Life of the engine coolant with certain service intervals (SCA's added at service intervals)
