Hey Gordon,

Check out fleetguard.com for info on the Enviroguard. They offer different models, one specifically for 98. 5 - 2002 models. They cost about $220. You can download a pdf installation guide.

Does anybody know how to remove the frost plug from the unused dipstick oil port that serves as the return to oil pan? I can feel the plug with my finger, but need an inspection mirror to see the top of it when I am lying beneath the truck.

Hey Gordon,
...

Read post #16 above about my struggles to remove plug. It's been awhile now since the plug on my engine ended up in the pan. After the following couple oil changes didn't flush it out I stopped worrying about it. Many miles later my engine is still running fine and drip free. Some of the best money I've ever spent on my Cummins. Just wish I would've pushed the plug down into the engine pan after screwing with it into the second day and at least 12 hours of trying to remove it out the top. I continued to screw with it into a third day before all that pushing and pressure finally forced it into the pan (not intentionally). Whatever makes you feel the best. If you can get it out the top threading a bolt into it you're golden. If not I don't see what the problem is pushing it into the pan as long as you take precautions against locktite/sealant getting in the oil. Their are a variety of ways to do that.

I finally got on the creeper and rolled under the front end. With an inspection mirror I was able to see the top and side of the plug. It looks like if I move the wiring harness I may be able to tap a small screw driver or putty knife underneath the lip and pry it out. Thanks for the
