In all fairness, all the living past presidents agreed with with the NAFTA agreement at the time of signing.

Remember ol' Ross Perot warned of the "Giant Sucking Sound" of NAFTA vacuuming the jobs out of the USA? He also foretold of the banking crisis to come.

after reading all of the posts,,,

"Remember in November" Truly time for (another) change

Fleetguard to Mexico, doesn't come as something new.

Our jobs are heading overseas, to other countries while the exec's reap the benefits all in the name of costs, or for the shareholders.

Costs to manufacture are reduced, the Exec's continue the lifestyle, bonuses,

country club perks, the list goes on.

this is what we get for approving of Nafta . we should fire the politicians and take our country back for Americans and do away with all free trading. you can't work at McDonalds and eat there too.

While Fleetguard does have plants all over the world as a Canadian I too am saddened to see Americans loose jobs to another country, especially when that decision was made by Americans themselves. Go figure!

Speaking of " free trade " how about as a Western Canadian I trade you Ontario and Quebec for Alaska and Hawaii :-laf Shadrach

Mac,

You're precisely right. More and more American companies will either do the same or go out of business in the next couple of years for that very reason.

I too will continue buying and using Fleetguard filters. Filters made in Mexico are just right for a truck made in Mexico.

Donaldson has a plant in Mexico as well. The W/S I just bought from them was made there. The rest of them make their stuff elsewhere as well.....

How about we give you CA, OR, WA, IL, NY, MA, VT, their state governments, and their debt. They'll fit right in with ON and QB (not sure of the correct abbreviations. ) We'll take AB, SK, and MB.

I spent a night at a truck stop in AB several years ago when I was delivering a trailer to a local dealer. I was talking to a local resident driving a fuel truck and dumping fuel into underground storage tanks. I quickly realized he was as conservative as I am and knew as much about American politics as I do. He said many AB citizens would vote to become part of the US to escape governance by ON. I told him I'd vote to have AB join the US.

Harvey Wouldn't it be nice if we could leave "politics " out of life and just enjoy the beautiful states and provinces we have. Shadrach

Reduce unemployment in America and TAX IMPORTS !!!!

Quit building foreign 3rd world countries with American Tax Dollars.

Vote out all the incumbents, they are the ones responsible for shipping our American Jobs overseas for the last 30 years.

My Ram was made in St. Louis, USA. Now I'm guess they are all made in Mexico? I think Fleetguard is the least of our problems.

Not the least but the latest American jobs going to another Country, they all add up. I am sure that all filter prices will drop to 3. 95 because of the cheap labor, just like the Ram's built in Mexico are 10k less than the Ram;s built in the U. S.

I don't know what you mean ? I think 98 or 99 was the last year for US Ram HD's, at that time the msrp just kept climbing year after year. I don't believe any savings was ever passed on to Dodge Ram buyers. When I price out a new on for today, I'm into the $50+ range. Are you saying they are building the HD Rams in the uS now ?

I was being a little sarcastic. One of the reasons they are/were leaving the U. S. was labor costs. The U. S. trucks were being made in St. Louis and Mexico at the same time and the same price, so not only are the jobs leaving but people are still being charged as tho they are all built in the U. S. . I do not know if a U. S. plant is building Ram trucks but you can be sure Mexico is. What's next a Chinese Ram?.

When you write "pieces of #$%T" you need to sybolize it properly, "$#!T" looks to be closer IMHO. LOL!

My mission in life is to buy AMERICAN, period. My dodge was made in St. Louis. Theres a web site floating around that lists companies and their products that are mostly made or assembled in AMERICA. Its on the web. MOE
