I just ordered the FLeetguard microglass oil filter for my 96. I know I can use the Fleetguard Stratapore on it as well ( GOod for 89-07 models). Which would you recommend?? Going to be switching to Amsoil Syn 15/40 this weekend. Thanks!!:-laf

Hey roper the microglass is good, but don't run it more than 3-4000 miles because it filters to a small micron level but plugs up fairly fast. The Stratapore is a better choice since it has quite a bit more capacity with its tiered filtering media. The microglass isn't tiered media, it's all fine media.

I've used the 3552 Microglass since the truck was just about new. IMO, filters are cheap when compared to the price of a rebuild so I change them regularly.
