Where can I buy a fleetguard oil bypass filter kit for the 6. 7 ?

I like to use fleetguard so I won't ever have any hassle over warranty.

Well if you want the official CumminsFiltration/Fleetguard Line.

Hello Mr. Clarke,
Sorry for the delay in response. I was in Chicago last week with little access to my email and I just returned to the office today.
Application Engineering Bulletin, AEB Number 42. 09, "By-Pass Oil Flow on B Engines" June 1994 describes the use of a by-pass filter on the Cummins B series engines.
It basically states that Cummins neither recommends nor encourages the use of by-pass oil filters on the B engine because improper use can result in low oil pressure (oil pump volume issue).
So, unfortunately, I cannot recommend the use of a by-pass filter on your application.
Thank you and have a great day,

what kind of filter block adaptation are you using for this setup??

i ask because the LF777 is a rather large filter, uses on alot of Big Onan gensets. just curious...

The part # for the Flg head for the LF777 is 3304173-s. It has mounting holes in it. It must be mounted vertical. Shadrach

on the hpcr's you need a good bypass filter, cummins is woried about the drop in oil pressure , that is why i mentioned the 0. 070 added orface, there is a cummins buletin out on the commertial b engines stating the orface is not to exceed 0. 078" we have made many kits using many different filters and i like the flow that 0. 070 gives, since the lf777 needs to be mounted virtically i mounted ours on the headache rack , most people mount them on the fender . on bypass filters run them untill they clog up before changing. luberfiner has a filter that can mount horizontal on the frame that will last a fiew hundred thousand miles between changes i have a pix of one mounted if you send me your email i will send it. i have not figured out how to do it here. cant spell

for fleetguard go to cummins i use napa on some and make my own mounts on some i use utility trailer as the supplier for luberfiner the filter # is lf9750 the base is lmb451 get the 1/4 hydraulic hose at napa the return cap from amsoil the orface just solder in a small piece of tin or brass in the center of the 1/8" fitting that you screw into the trucks filter housing and drill a 0. 070 hole in it

starting in 04. 5 models epa mandate required a drop in emmisions a third injection pulse was added that produces massive amounts of soot to the oil that never had to be dealt with in the past the industry was not ready for this and the filter people were slow to get products to the market amsoil kept the same numbering just added ae to it to difrinciate all others are new products we have 3 amsoil and they work but are pricy that is why i use kits that i stock filters for our large trucks. cant spell

on a 6. 7 i would not even drive it off the lot have it hauled to off road place remove egr dpf complete exhaust and replace with 5" and good muffler before starting motor

i think that is like way overkill, but to each his own opinion, we have had no issues with soot loading in the oil on all our midrange, and heayduty engines, granted they run oil filters (except ISB engines) with bypass filtration, but your not going to kill an engine in a few hundred miles of driving with no bypass filtration.

Look at my sig. Note the year and the miles and also the lack of a bypass system.
