ok so check this out what a nightmare. Got the rig from laser bobs after studding the head. Now twins there so it was a deal where we weren't gonna have them for dyno day anyhow so i left there and withing one mile, actually not even 1 mile a few thousand feet after turning right and i was still accellerating when suddenly instant neutral. I coasted to lucerne, called ats and said i thought the input shaft was toast, however it wouldn't start so they came to the conclusion that it was the flex plate. Called bob and had it towed back unable to disable the transfer case into neutral because the electronic function requires the truck to be started at some point. Anyway towed it back couldn't get a hold of anyone for a ride so i started to walk to fort collins and it was hot today finally. i figured my gps when i got home and i only walked a bit over 13 miles just past woods lake there. I swear that it was 20 easy. However ats came and got the rig right on time bob was cool and made sure to meet the tow truck driver there. So not only didn't i get my twins but now i have a whole new issue all together which is looking like billet flex plate and billet output while they are in there. This was terrible and i wouldn't even wish that on my worst enemy i don't believe it sucked. BListered toes and feet, heat headache from hell. Just a downright unpleasant situation and not like anyone was gonna stop to give a guy a lift. yeah right i'd have better luck hitting the lottery. the total trip by gps calculations from bobs to my front door is exactly 27 miles man i'm glad i got in touch with someone at the halfway mark i don't honestly think i could have walked that much more. It was harsh with no water or anything to drink period. I just wanted to lay down for a while and rest. lol so needless to say no twins, no dyno day, no nothing no truck, no 3 grand or whatever it's gonna cost to fix that crap either. Who said this stuff isn't great fun anyway? lol i'm sure i'll be laughing at it in a year or so but it's not funny at all right now. well maybe a little.

Remember, I offered to give you a ride. :D

You just would have to wait a while. You must feel like the old pioneers who settled this great country, walking from St Louis. :-laf

yeah i know but i would of had to wait for you to get done with all of the business you had already had planned and quite frankly i'm not the most patient man around and couldn't stand sitting around a shop getting more and more angry for several hours u know. besides it's not like the dtt guy wasn't having fun with me and my situation however it's only a stock flex plate lol so we'll see how the new one holds all i have to do is get that back then get the twins installed and i figure in about 3 or 4 months i'll be able to drive it again

Moolie, you might have read about my flex plate probs,I went through two flex plates in less than 3000 miles. My adapter plate was the culprit. It was over 20 thou out with a max of 8 allowed by chrysler and 5 allowed by D. T. T. I went with a better flex plate just to be safe. The other problem D. C. had with a few trucks was the end of the crank where the flexplate bolts was not machined properly and had some high spots at the bolt holes.

i'll go read up on it and see what's there i don't know the whole story but i do know that it should be all good i'm going billet output shaft, flex plate, and intermediate so i was told that it was the top of the line anything at ats. I even asked if there were any other extra things that i was not told of and that should be addressed. They said no way it's solid as a rock and it's the exact same setup as what was in a certain black pickup that's been known to throw down some high numbers for several years now. Not saying any names though. lol
