Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Flexible Stainless radiator hose?

Anyone have one of the Stainless Coregated Radiator upper "hoses" on their trucks? The most common make I have seen in Jegs/Summit are made by Spectre and come in different colors. U bend them to the where u need them, etc.



I was wondering if they would work on our trucks or if the diameter is too small and would restrict coolant flow/place strain on the water pump.



Anyone know off the top or their head what the inside diameter of the stock rubber upper hose is?

I used the Summit brand on a Chrysler 440. I was happy with it. No leaks yet. You are going to need a long one.

Hemi and others, do u think that the inside diameter of the flex hose will flow enough? I think that the biggest diameter that I have found is 1 3/4 inch?



Anyone know what the diameter is on the stock rubber hose?

OD. 2 1/8" ID. 1 3/4". Been looking for stainless braided hose sleeve myself. All are too small. Gonna check local hose shop next.

Paniolo, check out Spectre brand, that have braided hose sleeve specfically to slip over the stock hose to make it look like a SS Hose. Check out the link below, looks like they acutally have SS braided hose for radiator lines

been there done that thanks. I've even called them several times and even left messages. No return call, nothing. On their website only shows 1 3/4. Good luck to them. They suck.

But will a 1 3/4 fit over a 2 1/8 OD hose? Tried several times calling Spectre Performance but no customer response.
