flexplate interchange

Does anyone happen to know if you can use the flexplate from a 94 up Dodge with a lockup transmission on a 93 Dodge with a non-lockup transmission? The reason I ask is b/c I need to get a laminated flexplate for the 93 and they only advertise them for the 94 up trucks. It looks like it will fit just fine but Im just curious if anyone out there has done it. Thankyou.

I don't know about that one, but PDR does have a stronger flexplate for 1st Gen trucks.

When my 89 727 was out for rebuild I bought the later model flexplate for a 94 or 95 model and was a direct bolt up. Sorry I'm at work otherwise I'd have a Cummins part number.

From My understanding, the first gens and the second are interchangeable. However, if you phone some performance shops they will tell you they simply don't sell stuff for the first gens when it's setting right there on the shelf. Duh. Ignorance is their loss.

Hey thanks alot guys. I need to get a laminated flexplate for this thing and i just wanna make sure the one suncoast lists for the 94 up will work. Just wanted to make sure someone has tried it before I buy it.
