Been there done that! A friend of mine 01 dually dodge diesel rolled into his pond and he bought it back from the insurance company ,so we drained all the water out of it within 4 hours of it going completly under fresh pond water for 2 hours and Man what a time it was to get it going again! first one of the batterys was ruined! then after we got all the water out of the engine , trans and rear end, we took the interior out to dry and had to replace the windshield due to a small rock chip and the water pressure it cracked the windshield top to bottom, then the electric mirrors didnt work anymore so had to replace the mirror mtrs, then the speedo didnt read the miles, the heater valve stuck under the dash and for some reason the A/C freon was drained? never could figure that one out! drained the tanks several times to remove water in fuel light, and so after we got the truck running we had a water leak on the back side of head between block and head where we didnt get all the water out ( later find out that this seems to be common problem when submerged in water due to some kind of air lock in the compression chamber?) and when we took head off the cyls looked badly Stained? Pond water must be very corrosive too? so we honed cyls and put head back on! now after 1 year of cleaning all the bulbs and electrical contacts everything is back to normal! I can Imagine what Salt water would do! good luck!
