Good morning, Fellas!

Some controversy on this end about the floor mats in the 2500 versus 3500. I ordered a 3500 Limited Longhorn a couple months ago. I expected it had the fancy floor mats that were inlaid with the carpet insets, and featured the barbed wire embossed design on the rubber. Well, yesterday I sat in a 2500, and the floor mats were different--just your basic ground squirrel rubber, no carpet inlay, basic Lewis County same ole same ole. Anybody have a comment? I thought the Limited Longhorn had the same beautiful inlaid mats as the Limited, just in a different color combo.

Did you already take delivery of the Limited to actually see them or is this a question that just popped up? My 2017 Laramie 5500 has what you described heavy rubber with Ram's head, my DW's 2019 Laramie Longhorn has metal longhorn plates on them with snaps on the back and has like Astro turf inlays. I like mine better.

Anyhoo, look on your purchase order to see if weather rubber mats included as standard equipment or if added optional equipment.

Cheers, Ron

Floor mats are important. My tradesman came with rubber floor and nice rubber mats all black that have the two round rubber snap downs in the back that keep them in place. Saved me the wait and expense of weather tech . I really dislike carpet in a vehicle. Hard to say what you might get in a limited. Door to door shag. Just kidding

I can say that my 2022 3500 Longhorn did come with the Longhorn mats as you described. Which at least for the front were replaced with a pair of weather techs. Too much snow and mud where I go for the oem to look good for more than a week or two. Though the oem ones do look very nice

I am not worried. However, look at me...do I look like I would be satisfied with GS floor mats? Gotta look good, right? Seriously, I was very impressed with the detail of the mats, and since they were represented as part of the Longhorn experience, I wanted them. It was deflating to see the GS mats in the 2500 I looked at over the weekend. I have lovely mats in my daily driver Bimmer Grand Turismo, but I have small anti-GS oriental rugs placed over the factory mats to keep them clean. The oriental rugs have worn a bit, but they add a touch of chic to the otherwise teutonic interior. All of this to say it gave me a good excuse to check in with you guys!

Here is FH's new truck, on the dealer lot, waiting for C. Carpenter's Longhorn to catch up to it so we can go get 'em. It is granite crystal metallic with the body color bumper and indigo/frost interior. If you are wondering, no, nothing is photoshopped here. The snow is authentic, as the dealer is in Michigan. We are going to drive up to get the trucks. It'll be fun!

Nice truck. Strange my new truck was built in Mexico as was my old 1999. Wonder why your truck is in Michigan. Is that where you ordered it?

You should have looked at the window sticker. It’s an option to have rubber floor mats over the luxury ones so there is no reason to get deflated over floor mats. If that’s the breaking point of deflation I’d recommend relaxing a little.

This site has given you the tools, several times, to find out what’s in your build. Use them.

FWIW... I took the carpet inserts out day one... the rubber Limited mats are nice and keep the crap out of the carpet, just didnt want to deal with the stuff in the mat carpet or between em.. I'll put those fancy inserts back in when I trade it in for my 2028 new model and they will look good as new!...

Thanks. AH64ID's comment was rude, not appreciated. He, and perhaps others, would be surprised what I know about my build. There was no window sticker, as these trucks were special ordered, and as such, I prepared in exhaustive, granular detail, expecting the inlaid mats. It is that simple. Onward...

:rolleyes: It was not intended as rude, but rather pointing out that you have been given information on how to find things out and don't seem to want to use it.

As the build nears completion, which yours sounds like it is since you have a photo, you will be able to look at exactly what the truck has.

You can use your VIN, which you should have gotten within a couple weeks of placing the order, to get equipment listings and a window sticker. The websites have been linked previously, but here they are again. If they are not available yet then you will have to wait, nothing else to do. The luxury floor mats are standard, but can be replaced by the rubber floor mats. Your custom order build sheet would specify rubber floor mats if they were ordered, and if they weren't then you're getting the luxury ones...it's that simple.

Equipment List

Window Sticker
https://windowstickerlookup.com/

For the floor mats you want to look for "Luxury Front & Rear Floor Mats" on the equipment list.

For the running boards you questioned in a previous thread you want to look for "Power Deployable Running Boards" on the equipment list.

Had you looked at the window sticker of the 2500 you sat in then you would have likely seen the option for rubber floor mats on it. Here is an example of a Limited Longhorn with rubber floor mats. It's a refund because it's cheaper than the standard ones.

Some of the ppl on here are that way. He's decent most of the times but can be a real ass at times. Some always need to give their opinion.

Some don't have the ability to keep on scrolling, so they stop and post and usually no benefit to the OP. You started a thread on floor mats. I came in and read and had no input but figured I'd call out these "it's my way or I will say something" types. You know, the ones that can't just scroll on by. Couple of them have to post on every thread made too, just to get noticed?? Lol supposed to be grown ass men. Anyways, sorry I can help you on the floor mats. But I definitely see the some of the welcome community isn't so welcoming to you. You will find as time goes on you will stop coming back to this forum as often. I use to get on here many times a day a few years back, but well, you know. Lol

First off I must say that floor mats are important. When I had company pickups and we got in and out a lot everyday we wore the seats out and the floors rusted out from being wet all the time salt etc. carpet gets moldy etc. I don’t think anybody has been particularly rude on here. No more than normal. I have been on here for 22-23 years off and on and when a bad egg is discovered it’s thrown out of the nest. But I must honestly say I can never remember a woman being on here. Don’t know why that is but I think it’s true correct me if I’m wrong. Then we have the first husband new truck badging air horns floor mats etc etc. it has got a bit on my nerves as well and maybe some other folks also. Why is that I don’t know but I think someone will tell me. Maybe I /we feel annoyed by this . I know I’m a little tired of it but that’s ok. Sometimes I find it rather amusing so life goes on

Yep, I grew tired of the bs on her last couple threads and spoke out. Pretty sure I mentioned that. If I didn't or didn't make it clear enough, I spoke out on the bs. Call me what you wish. You're in the same boat as you didn't scroll on either. But I stood up for someone when you're just whining and getting all hurty feelings. Lol sometimes it's better to help or stand up for someone than to join the ass club.
