Flowmaster exhaust?

FYI I spoke with Ashley at Flowmaster today. Acording to him Flowmaster will have a 4" turbo back, single pipe exhaust that exits in the stock location made of 16 gauge aluminized steel. He said it would be available Dec. 27th. no particulars on price. Why the specfic date I don't know, I laughed when he said it but he stuck to it.

I have a flowmaster system. The muffler is a 40 Series Flowmaster, but the 4" one piece system is from a supplier of my local muffler shop. I got the whole thing installed and everything for under 550.

How does it sound? I had twin flowmasters on a built '77 Ford F250 4X4 with a 400, headers, cam, H pipe and it sounded mean!! #ad

It does sound good but I thought it would be a little louder. As the 40 series mufflers were said to be agressive sounding muffler. its not very big its a short rectangular flat muffler.

Did you choose the 40 series or was it recommended? I know they have several mufflers, just wondering why you picked that particular one?

When I was at the muffler shop we called Flowmaster and they reccomended the 40 series.
