Flowmasters???

hoss, the chambers are reflectors making the pulse blast from non turbo type engines dew to the turbo obsorbing most of the pulse for the energy. So they do work, but not as good as other types, unless you use their rescently released kit for the dodge/cummins. But even that is only 3. 5".

Blown Flowmasters? Thats funny, my 500" big block Bronco with a 4spd ran dual 2 chambers and saw 8 grand too many times during its 30k mile life before the mighty Ram. Never once had a muffle problem. One bad apple - exception, certainly not the rule!

After reading this thread some time ago I finally called Flowmaster. I wanted to find out if I had the right flowmaster or were they all no good on a turbodiesel. I spoke with Dan at Flowmaster and he said their mufflers that used a "tuning chamber" did not perform well on our trucks. For this reason they reccomend a 3. 5 inch "race" muffler, PT# 953540-10, for our trucks. This is a free flowing low backpressure muffler. For complete info call Dan @ 888-356-9627.
