Who Watches This Crap?

I use to get flu shots every year until I took a class on human disease. Haven't had a flu shot since and haven't had the flu either. It may be necessary for children and the elderly, but if you are healthy and take care of yourself (i. e. personal hygiene) it's not really needed.

Since there's apparently a shortage of vaccine I will forego the vaccination. Never got one before though, so I don't think I'm making any kind of sacrifice.

Sounds as if the vaccine went wide of the mark this year anyway.

In the past I got it for free but now have to pay for it. I have a ten buck co-pay so I got mine early on while in for something else.

I never had a reaction to one either.

i avoid all needles/injections as much as possable. they'd have to pay me a good chunk of $$$ to get me to take a flu shot. and if i get the flu, i am going to work. i don't get paid to sit at home on my ass...

i also don't donate blood because of the needles. if someones life depended on it real bad, i might, but even then, i would need to be sedated before i let them drive that needle into my arm.

I get mine free also at the VA Hospital, and get one every year and never get sick, not sure if it helps, but it cant hurt either. Knock on wood.

Way back, when I was in my teens, to make my Mom happy I went for the Flu shot. Shortly after ,,,,, you guessed it, I got the damn Flu. I went the following year for the shot and AGAIN,,, I got the FLU!!

Every since then I never went for that shot again and have never come down with a case of the Flu since then...

Go figure!!!

I never get an Influenza shot. I think I've had the flu twice in 15 years.

One thing I realize is when I am hit with the "full Blown" Flu, I know why it kills people. A Nightmare.

I believe the cumulative effect on our bodies of the other "stuff" in the shot may be a greater concern than the flu---there are a number of substances added for preservation etc; one of them is Mercury. Also, at the time they have to start to make the shots, its only a guess as to what flu strain will hit. This year, 75% of the flu going around is NOT what is in the shot. They say there is "some" help anyway, but for me, not enough to offset the other dangers involved.

Proper nutrition, appropriate supplements etc can do the job.

In 1981 my wife was given 2 years to live. We thought what does a Dr. in a little podunk town like Medford Oregon know, so we consulted "experts" in Portland, Or, the med schools at both San Francisco and San Diego, Las Vegas Nv. and Boston; they all agreed with our local Doc.

My wife, knowing a little about alternative medicine allready, said, well if that is the best mainline medicine has to offer, I am going elsewhere and she dove headfirst into alternative medicine.

Now 22 years later she is quite healthy and has not had a cold or flu for the past 21 years. About 10 years ago I finally became a beliver and started listening to her. I have not had a cold or flu now for 10 years.

We do not get the shots.
