Hi,

Here are my quesions:

Will 75-90w work for both the dana 60 and 70? Do I need to run a limited slip lubricant or will the oil alone be okay? How many quarts will I need for them total?

My owners manual says use atf +4 for the transfer case, is this correct? How many quarts?

Transmission, how many quarts?

What are your opinions on Amsoil?

Thanks in advance.

I just did my transfer case and transmission the weekend before Memorial Day.

For the transmission I did just a simple pan drop with filter change and band adjust. I did have my pan off for quite a while, which may have let a little more drain out than the average pan drop and filter change, but I put about 4. 5 quarts back in. I think many report around 4 quarts for just a pan drop and filter change.

On the T-case I just drained and refilled, used about 3. 5 quarts

I did use the Mopar ATF +4 in the T- case and the transmission.

On the diffs I have the Dana 60 front and 70 rear. I always pull both covers and wipe inside the cover and housing with a clean paper towel, to get as much fluid out as possible. I usually use about 7. 5 quarts total, 4 for the rear and 3. 5 for the front.

I use Mopar 80-90w for both diffs.

These are just aproximates, and by the way, I have OEM diff covers and transmission pan.
