I am thinking of changing to amsoil 2000 in the front and rear diff.

Can anyone tell me exactly how much each diff requires?

How much does the transfer case take (I will use ATF there)

and.....

If I drain the AT ( I suppose you have to drop the whole pan?) how much will be required to refill with ATF? I suppose you cannot drain it all such as the TC.

thanks

I switched to Amsoil 2000 75/90 in the diffs at 1000 miles. I filled my diffs till it came out, took 3 quarts in the front and 4 in the back. I have not changed the tranfer case yet.

I started to look up TGR to try to find out what the difference is. I noticed that the general information for axle fluids indicated that there is no need to add a friction modifier for limited slips becasue it contains one.

This concerns me becasue our limited slips specially dont require a friction modifier.

Am I going to hurt or decrease the limited slip performance by placing this fluid in there?

The transfer case should take about 3qts. Transmission should take aprox. 6qts with just dropping the pan. 3qts for front, and 4qts for the rear as stated by rbattelle.

The Series 2000 has a different additive package than the regular gear lube. The limited slip additive package that is in the Series 2000 gear lube will not cause any problems to your differentials.
