Does anyone know the capacity of the G56. Don't see it in my manual.

Going to change it soon, probaly try Amsoil ATF and see how it performs.

Like to change the rear differential and transmission within the first 4,000 miles on the new units.

I read it was 12. 4 pints off of a spec sheet, which is just over 3 quarts. Are the pto cover bolts 10 MM or 3/8 inch?

My source says 12 pints.

I have 8 quarts and I will drain it and report back on what it takes to fill it.

Dont know the size of the bolts for the cover, they appear to be 12 point bolts.

I think the 7 quarts is closer than the 3 quarts.

They do have a drain plug at the bottom :) , PTO cover does not need to be removed.

By the way the fill plug and the drain plug are 14MM allen wrench.

The 9/16 allen wont work, as the 14 MM is very tight.

It does take 12 pints or 6 quarts, changed it yesterday and used Amsoil ATF.

Had about 4 onces left in the last quart and I didn't have it running out of the fill hole.

Early yet, but does appear to be a little smoother shifting.

Had a little over 4,000 miles on the original fluid.

After 500 miles of driving after the fluid change it definetly shifts better after changing the fluid :) . Maybe other fluid than the Amsoil would work good too... . don't know.
