Got 20 K miles on this Beast, A 2003, Automatic, Limited Slip Rear End, I ONLY TOW a 2000 LB Boat..... Was wondering if you guy's could Help me out here? I need some info. 1. First, Is a Synthetic required in the Rear End? I was under the impression it wasn't required anymore in the newer 03 and up trucks... ... 2. What Type Liquids do i want in the Rear End. . 3... . Automatic Transmission Filter and Liquid change out... What do i need for that???? Air Filter? . . Can any of this stuff be bought at Wal Mart???What do you Recomend????... What approximately should all this materal COST?????? I have a estimate of 355 dollars. LABOR AND MATERIAL>>>>. I can do the oil and Filter plus the Fuel Filter myself... ..... Would Like your input ... Thanks Guy's..... DOC
 
big list of questions heres some basic answers you can use either dino oil or synthetic. syntectic cost more but is more effecient ie better millage both at the diesel pump and oil change intervals. . in the end they cost the same. i use all syntetic in everything. you can change you fuel filter your self it' ain't that hard. one socket and an old rag... . as far as media replacement get the fleet guard from genos they come highly recomened by most readers here... . as always there are many diffrent views on what type of oil to use so make your one decision i use the valvoline synthetic "blue" and change the oil and filters (air and fuel) every 10k cost me arround 100 bucks.
