Fluid Quantities

I have been a member for a few months, but this is my first post.



My friend has a 06 2500 4x4 CTD with a 6 speed (G56?) and he is getting ready to change the fluids in the trans and differentials.



Question is how much fluid do the trans and front and rear differentials hold?



He is going to place an order with Amsoil and wants to make sure he gets enough.

Rear differential holds 4 quarts of 75-90 100% synthetic/ NO FRICTION Modifier!



I believe the front DIff holds THREE quarts.



The G-56 holds 6 quarts of ATF+4

Hemet, that is close. Are there a group of guys in the area that get together periodically?

There is a small group I associate with on here but no, we have never actually had a formal day of wrenching or anything! LOLOL We have kicked around the Idea however. If you need any help, I MAY be able to assist as I do all of my own maintanence, but other than that, I am not the best and really digging into an engine, etc. .
