alot of you use fluid damper,any opinions on the ati unit?
I hear ATI can custom build their elastomer dampers for any application: hp level/rpm.
They use the same technology as the OEMS (elastomer)... as we all know the OEMs have the most money to pour into R&D of engine harmonics, seems like a sensible choice. Also they can be "rebuilt" (new orings).
Cummins switched from elastomer style damper to viscous (Fluidampr technology) starting with the 6. 7L. OEM elastomer style dampers are known to have a narrow effective RPM band wherease the Fluidampr's claim is it quells torsional crank vibes over a wide RPM range. But that's not to say the ATI isn't an effective damper. . .

Who is wanting one? Which brand? I am still trying to get more specific info from each mfgr.
