I did quite a lot of research on the factory harmonic balancer cummins uses and all the posts on our forum, and you guys are worth your beans, never seen a bad suggestion or product eval. so I bought one from one of TDR's advertisers,XDP (XDP Truck & Jeep Power) got a "special"price, plus a TDR discount 367. 62 free shipping that was it!! everyone else's price was $470. 00 plus shipping, took 20 min to install, and no $###, feels like a different truck! vibrations I didn't even know I had, are gone. shifts easier, idles MUCH smoother, goes thru gears smoother, cruising speed (75) feels like my wife's subaru ltd outback (they are one of the most vibration free vehicles built because of the boxer style motor) but mine has about 300 more hp. LOVE this damper. thanks guys, money well spent thanks to your posts.

Yes the fluidamper was one of the best bang for the buck mods I did to mine. FWIW going on 4 years now and still smooth sailing. Sounds like you got a great price, when I got mine (Summit) was like $430 + shipping.

IMO Fluidamper is a must. I trashed my engine when the tone ring came off the crank, some of it went through the pan and some got ground to sand. Rods, mains were destroyed and pistons and cylinders were all scuffed up. (in 1 min)

I belive harmonic balancer was to blame, bolts holding the tone ring on were sheered off. You can bet I have a Fluidamper on the new engine.

Ive been meaning to buy one for a while. How did you get such a good price? Whats the install like on a manual trans?

twheat-price was xdp's special for the tdr, I guess but all their prices are good, and some shipping is free, which makes it an even better deal, as for install, mine was 20 min, hardest part was lifting 24 lb damper into place (i'm retired, so gettin lazy) doesn't matter if it's a stick or auto.

Hey Cowboy just called XDP got the discount and free shipping on the damper $367. 62. Thanks for paving the way.

I have about 25,000 miles on the Fluiddamper install in my 04. Super happy with the change in the way the engine runs. The only negitive is that now without the engine viberating all the time the MBRP exhaust seems to be louder than it was before. I am thinking of installing the stock muffler back in the system.

There's 4" and 5" resonators available out there. www.ftediesel.com offers some.

Installed mine yesterday. Idle is super smooth... . alot quieter on highway.
I only was able to do a short trip with it but I like it so far.
