I would like to start with hello all:).

I was searching here and about this and I only found a little info on this. I was just wondering if anyone here runs this? If so what was the outcome.

thanks Joe

First off..... Welcome to the greatest source of information for your truck, the TDR. Its nice to see another TDR member from PA around here.

Now on with the rest of the story...

I run one and its now been on for a year. It has made a difference in how the smooth the truck runs both at idle and high rpm. It also has taken a tad of the roughness and rattle out of my EEP double disc clutch. I have run their products in other applications and knew of how well they worked there so when one became available for our trucks I had EEP install one for me. Its a product that may not be for the average owner but for those who desire a tad more safety and better reliability at high rpms,it is a must have item.

Not sure if I answered it but I hope so,again,WELCOME... ... . Andy

umm i heard it gives you 7 more hp if your budget permits spending over 400 bucks to get 7 hp. when running bigger RPMs and going through alot of input shafts at the track I can begin to understand it. also if you have a 6. 0 powerstroke that loses a cylinder every week I would jump on it other than that it just aint worth it to me.

Yea That is what I was wondering. I think it would help in higher rpms. Yea I was told that it can give you more hp and your crank will last longer. who knows.

I have never heard anything like that and we have had the Fluidampr people at our dyno shows the last two years. They do not claim any HP gains at all with them, just safety. it does help smooth out the assembly at rpm and I feel it will aid in crankshaft, main and rod bearing longevity... ... Andy

Its all about engine harmonics, which can be the most destructive thing to happen to an engine when they get out of hand. The stock dampner is good up to around 3000 rpm after that you are getting out of the range of what it was designed to do. So If you are planing on running over 3k for pulling or racing it would be a good idea to have one. After seeing test videos from Mack trucks engineering and development side of the plant, its amazing to see how much a crank moves inside an engine from the front to the back at high rpm.
