Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fluidampr and Spring kits

Anyone running a Fluidampr on a 94 to 98. 5? What do you think of it? I am getting one but wanted some feedback on the subject.



Now I also want to get the 3 or 4GSK but not sure which one to get. Do I really need the 4? is one better then the other? I already have the HD valve springs on the new head.

I have heard good things about the damper. I don't have one right now but I am going to buy one soon.



As far as the GSK I recomend the 4k. I started with the 3k and it was great. The 4k just makes it even better though. You can buy a 3k and see how it is and then just buy the 2 little springs to turn it into a 4k for like 20 bucks.

Fluidampr works good. does what is advertised in the 2500+rpm range. I didnt notice much improvement at idle however. If it werent for the sound of the engine you wouldnt think you were running 3500r's.

I agree with Matt, get the 4K, if you want, just dont install the tiny springs and you will have a 3K. Then if you want to change it up a bit, put in the little ones. Going over 3200 you should put in 60lb valve springs...

I have both the Fluidamper and the 4GSK. Its so much more fun to have the extra rpms to mess with and the Fluidamper really smoothes it out up there too. .

Going over 3200 you should put in 60lb valve springs...

Like I said above I already had them install the HD valve springs. Another question is Should I do the extra dowel pins on the Dampner?

If you use the search engine here you should find a couple of very good and informative threads on the Fluidampr and its benefits. Myself,personally,It was money well spent and made the whole deal alot nicer and alot smoother. It quieted down my well know double disc ratlle a tad also. If you look in myreaders rig area you will find a album called Fluidampr and Solid Steel pics and you will see various shots of mine after it was done. As for pinning it,well there was a mildly heated discussion on it,but,if your planning on big rpms then I would certainly tell you to pin it. It may be a PIA to do,but,the safety it will provide later during a big rpm run means alot to me.
