I am getting ready to put a new radiator in my truck and I was looking at flushes availably from the auto parts store. I picked the one that they said was best, it says to flush the coolant and then fill with water and the flush chemical, then run for 20 – 30 min then flush again till water is clear.

Other then flowing the directions on the bottle does anyone have any good ideas of anything else I should do while I have the radiator out of the truck.

When you're running the truck with the chemical in it, turn the heat on high. That way you'll get the heater core, too. Check your belts and hoses. Oh, and it's time to put winter air in your tires. :-laf

Make sure to use distilled water if you are running a 50/50 mix. You can buy coolant already mixed if you want. Also get a bottle of water wetter.
