I have a decent size cam and have some questions. If for say, I would fly cut the pistons . 100, how much would that drop my compression? If I would just mill a . 100 of the top it would drop it more right? I don't want to run into hard starting problems in the winter and alot of white smoke. This is on a p-pump 24V, I know in the winter I can back the timing down and it would help out.

I've been told it may drop it a couple of points, someone else said it may be 1/2 to 1. Not really sure. I was also told that it's not the lower compression that makes the trucks hard to start but over lap in the camshaft. If I'm reading my cam card right my cam doesn't have much overlap.
