Flex Plate Wollered out holes

It wollered out the holes pretty good too. The new plate is in, but something is rubbing. Might have to pull transmission back out. Had hard time getting TC bolts back in. Several of them wanted to rub against bell housing. When we pulled the old one out it only had 4 bolts holding it in. Should have been 6. Looks like they were just left out.

Anyway... we stacked it all back up and something is knocking in the transmission bell housing area. I suspect some of the bolts are rubbing. Oh well, we'll get it!

Sounds like you warped the torque converter housing, and that would be why the bolts don't want to go in. BTW, I'd replace all the torque con bolts and the flex plate to crank bolts. Use blue loctite.

This was an old post, it just got drug up... Already fixed it, replaced Flex Plate with Suncoast Double Plate, and all bolts (Joe). I think it is that particulared colored TC that is in it that broke it anyway... anywho...

This was before Ivy Bluff, I think Nick.

Sounds like the front end of the crankshaft broke. Mson had a 96 Mazda crank that broke at the end behind the timing gear.
