Has anyone ever had the FM portion of your radio stop working? The antenna is still hooked up, and I can get AM radio stations, but the FM stations do not work at all.
This may not be a fix for you but this is what happened to my radio. I had my FM stations go out not long after I got my truck. I took the radio out and found that if I moved the antenna wire back and forth in the socket of the radio that the FM stations would come in again. The socket seemed to be a little loose, or some wires inside the radio where shorting out. In the end I went and picked up a decent Pioneer head unit and mounting bracket to install in my truck. All stations come in clear with no more tuner problems.

I replaced my stock cassette player with an Alpine unit# 9825 CD. Excellent reception and performance especially off road with no skips yet. Circuit City had a closeout and w/free install= $181. 00. o. t. d. harness, install kit and all! I do miss the large buttons though. There's a 1. 5. din(our size) Alpine in the classifieds for sale. It might offer more humane sized controls.
I've had a total of 3 do this same exact thing. First stocker and 2 replacement Philips units. All are due to broken internals on the radio. Solution: Whistle... :-laf
