So I'm driving to pick up a date A/c is on high, I know the woman is always well dressed. I look over at the passenger seat and there's black stuff all over the all over the sea I just happened to have a lint brush with me clean it all up going down the road about another 15 minutes again I look over there and there's the black stuff again. It was a larger piece sitting there I picked it up and it was some kind of gray foam.
Any idea there where this might be coming from? The only place I could think of is there is there may be foam on the blend doors.
Thanks G.

The foam on these blend door breaks down over time. It does not matter what vehicle make or model. It happens. I had mentioned this before in another thread. That Grainger and Mc Mastercarr both sell ALL kinds of foam and rubber with a quality 3M peel and stick adhesive on one side. The foam and rubber is available with a total variety of thickness's and densities. And sizes. Granted removing the heater/AC unit is a bundle of fun, but while doing this work, putting in an equal or better foam is a great thing to get done. I rebuilt a 70 wagoneer heater using these different foam products. It came out just stellar. And probably had better foam than new.
