We have a 07 that we bought without fog lights. What is the best way to equip this truck with fogs? Factory stuff or aftermarket. I do not want it to look all cut up or wierd.

There was someone on another site that added the dodge factory fogs to his truck. He said that his truck came with the wiring under the front bumper. If you truck is luck enough to have the factory wiring at the fog light locations all you have to do is buy a new switch and install the new lights and you will have nothing to cut. NOW GET THIS he said that the directions said to go to the dealer to have the computer flashed to allow the fog lights to work. He did not and now can use the fog lights and his high beams at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!! The computer flash must not allow this to happen, so if you do this try it before you go to the dealer!!!

Let us know how it turns outOo.

They make two OE kits... one for truck with the foglight wiring, the other for those without.

If your truck has the OE wiring, then it is as simple as replacing the headlight switch and installing the foglight bulbs... they work as from the factory (may require a flash as noted?)

If your truck doesn't have OE wiring, then you add a switch and relay (as well as the foglights)... you foglights work on the low beams (with the switch turned on).

I ordered my kit from a dealer on eBay for $125... fit like a glove.

Your truck should be pre-wired for fog lights. Order part number 82209047. This kit comes with 2 lights, 2 light bezels, a healdight switch and the cross over wiring. Can be installed in less than 30 minutes. Lights may or may not have to be "enabled" at a dealer. Pm me if you have questions...

I had the factory wiring so I bought the Dodge kit that had the switch, crossover wiring, and bezels. Easy install except, on the megacab, I had to remove the center console to remove the center instrument panel bezel to get at the screws to remove the instrument panel bezel plus had to remove the bezel under the steering column - LOTS OF BEZELS. The instructions said to get it flashed but I tried it and it worked and the fogs don't turn off when high beams are on. Now, I'm not sure I want to get it flashed since I don't want to spend $110 for the BriteBox Fogster to keep the fogs on.

I bought a set of factory fog lights from eBay for my truck and it worked great. I wired them direct so I can run them like aftermarket off-road lights. I just have to remember to turn them off. hehe
