I have a 1999 2500 in which the fog lights are not working. Bulbs are good, fuse is good, Relay is good so I suspect the light switch is bad. This switch is the rotary style in which you turn the switch to the 2nd position for headlights, and then pull the knob back toward you for the 3rd position for fog lights.
Both lines to the bulbs are hot all the time (11.50 volts with headlights on). Pulling the light switch into the 3rd position (Fog lights) should pull one leg to ground but it doesn't so the switch must be bad. Is there any user repairable parts in the switch that would allow me to fix it, or am I going to have to replace the switch with a new one?
Parking lights and headlights work fine.
Thanks for any help and guidance.
Ron
