I recently installed the factory fog light's on my '01. The plug's on my truck that go into the back of the light are corroded and I can't find any one who carry's a new harness except Dodge! They want around $190 for them! That's rediculous! Does anyone know of an after market brand or a websight to order that type of thing? All I need is the plug with the two wire's, nothing else. I already have a switch and wiring from the other junk light's the previous owner had installed. Thank's

Here's what "sparky" the nerd (me) would do: You should have the old connector with +12 V and ground leads. Just cut the old plug off and replace with a good gasketed automotive grade (just like OEM) and mating plug on your new lights. You can buy these in 2 pin, 4 pin, etc from suppliers of MTD automotive accessories (they call they Deutsch connectors). A company called Mouser Electronics will sell you retail the same sort of connector (they call them Molex MX150L sealed connector series www.mouser.com/molex). These are both identical the the gray connectors with orange gaskets that Dodge and everybody (almost) else uses. I've had a ton (lotsa toys) of these on many trucks and never had them fail. Good Luck!

Does anyone have a part number for the sealed connectors on the fog lamp's for an '01? I tried to find them on the mouser website but they weren't right. I really appreciate the help. The dealer keep's telling me I have to get the whole harness, which I don't need. The connector is oval shaped with holes for a two prong bulb. It has a divider in the center that goes half way across, it doesn't devide the two prong's all the way! I don't know how to explain it any better! I'm getting burned out looking for this thing. I never thought a connector like this was so rare! Part #'s, picture's, website's, anything to steer me to completing this PITA!!! Thank's :)

Do a Google search using harness 12043215 (no quotes). Click on the autobodysupplies dot com link in the search results and read about part 89-6653 (page 288 or 22/76 in the .pdf file). You should be convinced that harness 12043215 will fit the 896 bulbs found in factory fog lamps.

Harness 12043215 shows up here: http://www.cliphouse.com/detail. aspx?ID=2360 as item #CP896653.

Let us know what you do.

Good luck!

Well I guess I needed to be a little more harsh with the guy at the part's counter at Dodge! He pulled out a little connector reference book and bingo, are these what you're looking for! Uh yeah, why didn't you show me that the first time! I hate dealer's, they think we are stupid or don't know what we want. I paid $20 a piece but that's better than $190 for the whole harness that I don't need! Thank's for all the help guy's!
