fogged gauge

Yesterday morning my autometer boost gauge was fogged up pretty badly---still readable but barely. After an hour or so, it cleared up.

Any cure other than replacement? Gauge was installed Aug. 2000.

My top gauge did the same thing one day, the first day of wet cool weather about 3 weeks ago. Has not fogged up again since. Not sure what the deal is but hope your go's away also. Good luck

Got a new one.......

Autometer is aware of the problem. My vendor sent me an advanced replacement so I didn't have to be without. Just sent the old one back to them after the swap out. So far so good.

fogging guages

i also have 3 autometer guages that fog.

it only happens once in a while but it is annoying. if i send them back they will replace them with non-fogging versions?

Autometer Knows

Autometer said they had a batch of bad glass. I thought it was only on the ultralite pyro though. I'm going to install my 5th one soon. It's here, I just need to find the 15 minutes. I bought mine at Advanced Diesel Technology and they've been really good at customer service so far. Sent me all of the replacements free of charge, I just send tho old one back after I change it. Autometer does know about the problem and I know there's a 1 year warranty on the gauges, but they might extend it because of the known problem. Good Luck

Autometer will correct the problem!

Just return the gauge(s) to Autometer, they'll replace the lens(es) with anti-fog lenses. I sent both of mine back and from drop off to delivery was two weeks. They're nice and clear now! Autometer is pretty good and (as said above) they are aware of the problem. Good luck!
