Well after reading the recent TDR magazine it shows a leaking problem on a little hose under the exhaust manifold on page 22 of issue 85. My hose looks poor and it does have the welded "goober" on the tube. I wonder how much antifreeze needs drained to fix this before it leaks? Has anybody changed this rather quickly? I think of grinding the goober off. Any ideas are appreciated. Herb:-laf

I just changed mine last weekend. I'm not sure how much coolant you would lose as I drained all my coolant out, for other reasons. There is no way you're going to change this hose quickly. There is not enough room to just slip the new hose onto the coolant lines. I removed one bolt and one nut that hold the bracket for the line closest to the fire wall. I had to bend the bracket somewhat to remove it from the manifold stud to get the old hose off, so getting it to go back on with the new hose in place was kinda tricky.

As I stated in the replace with the photos there isn't much room in there to get your hands on it. Doubt you can grind off the goober without removing the line.
