Has to be one of the greatest innovations I've ever seen. You can pack so much stuff back there with the trays out its incredible. Definitely one of my most favorite things about the truck, besides the motor!

I had to go to Jacksonville, FL last week. It was raining and cold. When I arrived at 1:00 a. m. , there were no hotels near the Naval Air Station so I put my ground pad (for my sleeping bag) on the flats and sacked out. Five hours later I was good to go. It was a little tight but it works good for a long nap.

think i really like to have this fold flat option. anyone know where to purchase aftermarket and how much?

thanks

rich

It is available at the dealer to add on fairly easy. I don't think I have seen anything like this from the aftermarket yet.

I pulled the FF out of my truck when it was brand new to make room for speakers. They have been sitting in my room for over one year I could use some space. I'll get rid of them For ??

When I found my truck I had a choice of the fold flat or the light group. I chose the fold flat, so far I think I made the best choice.

ok- just called local dealer to price one out and he says he has no idea what i'm talking about---he can't find a listing for anything resembling my description.

is this something that will bolt into my truck or does the truck have to come from the factory with the appropriate mounting brackets?

all help apprecitaed.

eBay good source

I bought my Fold Flat Floor system on eBay for around $210, including shipping. My auction included the shocks, snap tie downs, and mounting brackets. While shopping on eBay I made sure to buy one that the guy said EVERYTHING was included. After installing mine, it looks like if a person took them out, everything would be included, doesnt look like they will come apart too easy.

Anyways, I just got a new TV, and it was an "open item" special. I found out that at 56" JVC Projection DLP TV will just barely fit in the back seat on top of the fold flat floors. Trust me it was a tight squeeze!!! But, well worth the work!!!

+1. I got everything but the bolts, but the seller was kind enough to send them afterwards. But compared to the $210, I got a smokin' deal. :D

ok- been on ebay 4 times searching for the flat floor and can't find anything. is there a particular seller listing these or is it hit and miss?

thanks

rich

Yes, you are right richalberghini, it is a hit and miss deal. I just looked, and it doesnt look like anyone is selling them right now. That is kind of weird, when I bought mine late in the summer there were 8 or 10 "sets" for sale at the same time. Good Luck!!!

When I purchased my truck in March the flat storage panels were supposed to be in the truck, but weren't. The dealer couldn't order it as a kit and after four months going around and around the parts department order the items individually. It cost the dealer about $900, but it was in the sales contract and they had to fess up! :-laf I put them in myself and it took me all of 15 minutes.

You can also check with any local car audio/custom shops, if you have any near you. A lot of guys pull the fold flats to install subwoofers in the cubby holes. Post an ad or talk to a tech at a local shop and let them know you're interested. You may get somewhere faster than eBay.

ok guys--thanks for all the help. there's one guy here that i'm in contact with that will hopefully work out.

merrry christmas to all and thanks again. (dog thanks you too as he really needs this--he's so big he keeps falling off the back seat!!) :-laf :-laf
