I am going to install a 3200 spring shortly, and while I have the pump apart I was wondering if I should grind the foot off that I have heard about. I do not know what this will do but if it makes more power I am all for it.

Depending on what you do with this truck and your desired outcome.

You go messn' 'round with too much fuel and in some instances, you'll wish you hadn't.

However, yes. Shortening it or removal altogether will allow the governor to obtain an incresed rate of fueling much above the "custom fuel cone" grind.

Keep in mind exhaust gas temps and smoke... ... ... ... ... ... ... not to mention smoke from the clutch assy :)

Thanks for the response, so the more of the foot you remove the more fuel? And if you completely remove the foot the pump will still function?

Most try the custon cone grind for a time then upgrade to the foot grind (shortening). Still, if all is well and the clutch has been upgraded and the turbo/injectors etc. etc. some will remove the foot completely.

If your towing heavy loads, the engine will require much more air in the way of free flow air inlet (to turbo) and a larger compressor..... exhaust system upgrade, to prevent melt-down.

I already did some grinding on the cone, made a little difference, the only thing that really woke my engine up was turning the fuel screw. I hear ya on the air situation, going to be taking care of that soon. Thanks
