Help, I need 2 of these Exhaust hangers.

Diesel shops in Las Vegas?

After reading this rant a couple time, and yes is now water under the bridge, The shipper can promise you the moon, but one must remember, they don't run the transportation company. Even though the delivery time was probably specified etc, this got over looked by someone in the system. [and it does quite offten] Standard should have kepped an eye on this shipment, cause they could have gotten what is called a pro number,[shipping number] and when it got delayed they could have built a fire to get it expedited and delivered on time. But when you get a lot of fingers in the mix, they all have to hold together.

Salty could have got the information from Standard and kepped an eye on it to. So to me this should not have been a problem.

It is fine to be disappointed I think we all would. It is also fine to voice that displeasure here in fact. I think what we all would be looking for is a continuation of problems which we would learn if others shared their experiences and if a similar a trend is seen. I agree one mistake does not make a trend and I would not be concerned.

As to do business again with any particular company is a personnel choice. Of course if there is only one you have little choice in the matter. In this situation it should be treated as a learning experience. To track items yourself and hopefully the company you purchase from will as well I view as a shared responsibility. As to this vendor I have not seen a trend of negligence so would still deal with them if I have the need. To see if there is a new trend the first post has to be made though.

By the way I do not see anything wrong with the OP and took it as being informative. I was waiting to see if others had similar problems which would affect my decisions. I honestly believe any of us would have been just as disappointed and yes perhaps mad if it happened to us. I am just as glad there was so much positive about this vendor but disappointed in the criticism to anyone individual for any reason. Just because some have had positive experience in the past does not mean there could not be a negative trend starting. We have all seen excellent companies go from excellent to bad perhaps a change of management, ownership, the list goes on. Unfortunately it happens all to often and appears to happen more in these days and times.

Ok there is my thoughts for waht it is worth.

The difference between Harveys post and the original post is one man is likely 65 years old and the other 25 years old. At 25 I was full of **** and vinegar also but as the years go on you learn when to pick your battles.

As I remember in the original post salty was just reporting on an experience he had with a vendor, a negative experience. I didn't think he was picking a battle with any particular member/s. Then the post started and the comments started and it quickly went down hill from there. At the end I was wondering to myself if some people had way to much time on their hands and were spending way to much time on the computer just waiting to take a shot at someone-anyone about anything! I took the information for what it was---a person had some problems with a vendor---thanks for the information--end of story.

I would hope that all members would report thier experiences with vendors so that we will have that information when we decide to spend our dollars. That is one of the TDR's greatest assets, information. Randy
