This is aimed at folks who have swapped to levelling springs AND have the older sway bar set-up. My rig is a '96 and the sway bar links attach to the axle bracket/horn above the sway bar. My friend at work (who bums my TDR mags but won't join) with an '01 has the links below the bar. I don't know when the change was made, but I'm guessing '98 or so.
The question: Has anybody come up with a good way to alter the attachment of the sway bar so that the bottom of the sway bar link does not contact the drag link? I didn't think the two components were making contact until last weekend, I just thought they looked pretty darn close to one another. I was parked in an off camber, slightly articulated way and checked... sure enough they will bump. If the connecting links for the sway bar were just 1 inch shorter this wouldn't happen. Also, those links are wear items, aren't they? I'm guessing just grab ahold and check for slop? Any thoughts? Thanks.
