Here I am

For fun. Why/how did you choose your handle?

Thanks, TDR Staff

Diesel , ammonium nitrate , A 30.06 , oh yeah and some Beer

Escape Hybrid?????

I chose justbeamn because I restore/show, and race sunbeams, alpines and tigers. What's your story. Some are easy to figure out, others not so easy. :D

Well I'm a diesel nut for starters, got it from "growing up" with the railroad all my life, love them locomotives. I worked for CAT for about a year and half as a diesel tech before I got my job with Union Pacific, it was a real change going from a that job to my "office job". Went to school at Denver Automotive and Diesel College.

So changed the "C" to a "K" to be unique and just got attached to it even tho I left Caterpillar about 3 years ago. Gotta love that CAT yellow.....

It's a Jeep thing.....

I have a '79 CJ-7 that I bought when I was 17 (14 years ago - darn that's a long time) - I was ALWAYS working on it and will NeVeR FiNiSH working on it. Something about having a rep for procrastinating. NVR FNSH is the personalized plate on the Jeep.

The name of the company is Pacific Cooling and when we started, could only have 7 characters in the name thus paccool.

My handle "Eventer" comes from my hobby/sport of Eventing. It is also sometimes called Combined Training and is best known for the cross-country phase where my horse and I are jumping over obstacles on an open course.

Check out www.eventingusa.com for additional details.

I got mine from an accident back in 97 when I was rear-ended in my 89 F-250 by two semi's (in one accident) while driving out here to Colorado.

I normally just use Crash, but when that's taken, I use Crash_AF since I'm in the Air Force.

Later,

Joe

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I walked away from it with only a strained neck and splitting headache from whacking my head on the rear window.

Afraid I get the award for most unoriginal. I've only been "internet capable" for about a year. When I first got my computer of course, the first place I came to was here. "danandme" is the first part of my email address (actually should stand for Dan and Melissa, not enough characters available at that time) so to stay consistant I just stuck with that for my handle.

Well guess what... ... . mine is just my name... imagine that!!! but I didnt want to have something DUMB . . like "cummins power98"... ... . LOL (just kidding mark S. !!;) ) the truth be known... I really suck at thinking up names, so I chose the obvious:rolleyes:. . Jim

PS... . and when I enterd it I had a dyslexic moment and put the Period in the wrong place!!!! . . after "jim" insted of after the "S"... and I dont know if I can change it... anyone know???

Swamp Donkey is also known as a moose. There are tons of them up here, and I like moose meat. Pretty much grew up on the stuff so. Plus it makes me laugh every time I see myself as Swamp Donkey. :D

not so fast there, danandme....

I think I should get the "unoriginal" award... . "rich m" = richard metzger... now gitcher grubby mits offa my trophy! :D

'Fest3er' comes in part from two surgeries (a cyst and an appendectomy) that resulted in infected incisions, and in part from Tom Lehrer (this is *really* esoteric): "The '3' is silent, you see. " Still glad you asked? :)

Never had a handle, but this thread has about prompted me to "adopt" one, maybe "Desertblue", because I am a desert rat at heart, and here I am living on the coast because my wife's Dr. says that is where she should be for the clean moist air. -----if I can figure out how to do a handle, is that what they call a "user name?"

Handle

When I first signed up, I wanted "Merlin", but that was already taken, so I chose TMA149. That had a lot to do with 2001 a space odyssey, and then when the changes went through at the first of the month, I just changed it to RBrush. HHHMMM? (scratching head)I wonder how he got that you may ask. Dunknow.

Rich Brush

Mine's really tough to figure out... John, oh ya, that's my fist name... been using it since the days where the Happy Campers BB was the only game in town for us Dodge/Cummins boys. :D

..... what can I say, I don't like change.

Hey Rich, at least your first name wasn't Fuller :p

The truck's name is Bumble, so it fit in here too. If anyone remembers that Rudolf Christmas cartoon with the abomidable snowman (called a Bumble) that fell off the cliff at the end, you'll remember that "Bumbles bounce". And this one does too on those crappy concrete highways.
