Cowboy Medic comes from a combo of how I look at myself. I grew up in western South Dakota, have horses and love rodeo so I am a cowboy and I am also a Nationally registered Paramedic, so there comes the medic part.

My name is Dewey. My wife calls me Dew for short. When she wants me to do something she say Dew do this or Dew do that, So out comes Dewdo.

Raced Desert dirtbikes for the last 25 years. Still ride desert but now in the "Old fat guy division ".

Then I had to have a Harley to ride.

Brand new Harley was junk and couldn't get out of it's own way so I sold it for a real motorcycle.

Bought a BMW R1100RT and did 75000 miles usually crossing the Mojave going

back and forth between the states. Most fun I ever had while sober.

Hence Desertryder

Handle

Mine is after what I do for a living. I'm a superintendent of a cemetery. Im also strarting to get into the hole monster truck thing.

On here my handle is just an amalgamation of my name (very boring). But on every other forum I'm a member of I go by "Grey Rider". I chose that because that's what the Indian Chief calls Clint Eastwood in the movie "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (one of my favorites).

D for Dan, first name.

L for Laurent, middle name and my grandfather's first name.

5treez for what my last name means in Euskara, the language of Euskadi, the Basque Country, where my father is from. It translates to five trees in French as well.

I thought it ment you DELIVERED TREES. I thought you owned a landscaping business.

What is the deal with Laurents and moderating?
