For those that have taken the engine fan off in the winter, did you put the fan clutch back on? I ended up doing that to protect threads, as I don't see how it could harm the clutch. Anyone found any problems by not having any resistance on the clutch?
Also, I was out putting up gates on a friend's elk farm last night. Temps were in the low 20's, with wind chill just above 0. Not only would my truck maintain engine temp, but I could also have the heater on hot and half fan. I've never been able to hold heat in that block before, and I wanted to say thanks to everyone who suggested taking off the fan in other posts.
