I have a buddy that has a 99 ford 7. 3 power joke made in 2/99. . What is the best bang for the buck on this joker??? It is all stock with K&N and straight pipe... He was looking at the edge evolution?? Any thoughts are apprediated.

due the edge evolution stacked with the edge jucie and additude monator and he will love it my buddy has a 200 stroker with this set up and it runs damn good

The EARLY '99 ford 7. 3 Super Duties were probably the LAST of the relatively reliable and trouble-free Ford diesels - it all started to turn to crap with the mid-'99 changes that started all the injector woes still facing Ford owners. My RVing bud has "chipped" his truck up to the 65 HP or so level, and does well in towing a 12K Alpenlite. There are several good brand boxes available - you just pays yer money, and takes yer chances - and probably will do just fine!

nah, the 10k is about $1. 25 :-laf its good for about 65hp. some driving issues are raised with using it. the eveloution is a good programer, my cousin has one and it works good, but i would go with a 6 flip chip. i can get them for a good price (dealer licence) any combo of burns up to 150hp, and free reflashes if you want to change sompthing. my cousin with the eveloution is selling his for one of these chips. bty you can use a 10k with a chip too.

I'm driving a company 6 psd across the northwest right now. I started out with 7k miles and just hit 11k. And I need a diaper. The top of the engine is leaking like a strainer and blowing oil all over the underside of the hood. What a joke.



The best bang for your buddies buck is to drop some money in the collection plate at church and pray often. Why do you think I sold my 7. 3 psd.

All the guys that I know run a superchips tuner on their 7. 3. Seem to work pretty good and it gives you options on things like trans shifting and speed limiter. Three power levels to choose from. Also you can change the temp that the glow plugs come on at-could save the plugs and relays some wear. Tuners are easy to remove before you take it to the dealer and will still work if they reflash the computer, unlike a chip.

I recommend TS performance they have some very bad chips they are burning,,, A friend of mine had one in a 00 or 01 it was a flip chip up to 140 it was scary!



It was a 4dr long box with dual rears, that would do donuts.
